About Us TWA People Development Ltd was incorporated in April 2008, developing from its predessor, Tim Watts Associates, which had been founded in April 2004, to provide specialist services for the development of people in the workplace.
Tim Watts Tim Watts is MD and he has held senior management positions in Operations and Human Resources settings during his 25-year career span in the papermaking industry. As a director within one of the key manufacturing trade associations he has led the development of training programmes for senior operators and front line managers, headed up the health & safety function and been a member of the national negotiating committee, negotiating pay and conditions, for the sector, with the joint trade unions. He held the post of Chief Executive of the Paper Industry National Training Organisation during the transition from NTOs to Sector Skills Councils and consequently is well versed in the UK's learning and skills infrastructure. In addition he was lead negotiator for the tri-partite team developing European safety standards, EN 1034, for the design and manufacture of paper making and finishing machines, working in collaboration with many other European nations. The HSC/E featured heavily in Tim's time as Head of Health & Safety, assuming the mantel at a time when the combined efforts of regulator, trades unions and employers alike were engaged in radically redefining what was an acceptable risk for machine operators. As a consequence of the momentum generated, safeguarding of moving machinery was delivered and major and fatal accidents began a significant downward trend and this has continued to this day. The key to the sea change in approach to risk management was the involvement of all parties. Employee engagement continues to be the hallmark of the 21st Century papermaking industry. As a technical specialist, operator, supervisor and manager, Tim has worked in large and small mills, manufacturing and finishing grades from across the papermaking spectrum. He was a trade union appointed representative whilst a supervisor. Tim trained in TQM early in his career and has benefited from consistently applying the tools and techniques since that time. The same can be said for behavioural safety, having been selected as a team trainer for Du Pont STOP in the early nineties. His early exposure to structured problem solving with Kepner-Tregoe (K-T) in the mid-eighties has profoundly influenced the way he continues to conduct his business. He is an accredited Personal and Corporate Coach, a certified Master Practitioner of NLP and holds a NEBOSH General Certificate. He was a member of the government sponsored team who developed Occupational Standards for Coaching and Mentoring, a project managed by ENTO. Tim is a founder member of the Institute of Leadership and Management and a member of the Ashridge Alumni Association. Tim is co-author of the forthcoming book, "The Strength of Trust".To discuss your unique people development needs within your organisation call

Dan Terry Dan Terry is a training consultant and visionary coach with more than 15 years experience of developing unique and compelling solutions for challenges in the workplace. He is a Master Practitioner of NLP and an accredited coach. His approach is process orientated, not content orientated, which simply means that the techniques can be applied to any set of behaviours in any environment. By eliciting the strategies of behaviour he shows how it is possible to model excellence and to install new strategies to effect both remedial and generative changes. This allows individuals to evolve and flourish so that the people and teams they work with are ready to change when the situation demands it. Dan believes that without flexibility to change in today's world we face limited choices. Having many more options about the way we behave allows a good company to become a GREAT company. Dan’s lively and intuitive style has made him a very popular trainer in both the manufacturing sector and the private sector and his clients regularly re-use his services. He continually seeks to break boundaries and one of his most recent assignments has been to present the power of NLP to Reading and Bolton Wanderers football clubs.
